Fortress Stabilization Certification Requirements
First: While our system is not a difficult installation (depending on condition of wall), there are one time purchases of equipment needed that does not justify a one time application.
Also there are several foundation problems that may have contributed to foundation failure that should be addressed by a licensed contractor. For warranty purposes, we train all of our contractors on installation to insure the best services for our customers. Some Fortress Products are limited distributed products.
Example: Staples and Neckties require basic construction knowledge. In order to warranty staples we would have to dictate the type of crack repair.
Contractor must have proper licensing and insurance as required per state.
Training is based on understanding basic composites and foundation principles: spacing, cracking patterns, seal-plate designs, shear slides, etc.
Training is not for the purpose of Fortress Stabilization Systems being your installer. It is helpful if crew/installers have some pre-training i.e.: view promotional material DVD, visit website, etc. It is also helpful that training session include sales force. It does noone any good if crew/installers understand repair procedures yet the sales force does not.
Thank you for your interest in Fortress Stabilization Systems.
