Project Scope:
Residential Pool experiencing leakage, both loss of water and infiltration of ground water into pool. Cracks were found in shotcrete and penetrating through the pebblecrete finish.
Repair Method:
Pebblecrete was removed, cracks were injected with epoxy resin. The Carbon Fiber Net was pre cut and laid into saturate, it was then placed in pool area and cured in place. This provided a structural cage at 0°, 90° and 45° layout. The Pebblecrete was then reapplied.
Conclusion:
Fortress Carbon net at 12,000 tensile per sq ft provided the added tensile needed which coating alone was lacking. Installation of Carbon Netting took approx 3 hours.
