Architects and contractors are not always aware of the expected loads on a concrete or masonry building and resolving those deficiencies, in design or construction, can be expensive and problematic. Fortress Stabilization Systems has the resources and solutions to compensate for construction or design deficiencies.

In this case, the structure was under-designed for wind loads and areas of reinforcement were not considered in the construction plan from design to construction.

Material Used: Fortress unidirectional carbon fiber plates, 1200 gsm with peel-ply
Project Scope:
Areas of reinforcement were left out of construction plan from design to construction. Structure was under-designed for wind loads.



Solution:
Fortress Carbon Plates were laminated on both sides of masonry in non-reinforced areas of building.



Observations:
In one day, problem was solved, and contractor could continue exterior facade, with no delay in construction.
